All good things come in pairs...

Not so long ago I was asked to do a maternity session for the very striking Anastasia, who was due to give birth to twins. We had a very relaxed maternity session, husband James was a little reluctant to be involved...but he got there in the end. What a gorgeous couple they are!

I remember how I felt whilst pregnant with both my children, how exhausted I felt at the end of each of my pregnancies so carrying twins is no easy thing but Anastasia was taking it all in her stride, she looked amazing.

The next time I would see this lovely couple would be at their home, photographing the new arrivals. This was something I was very excited/nervous about...TWINS!! We agreed upon a home session due to the sheer effort of getting to the studio with two of everything, I was happy to oblige. I really like doing home sessions, it gives me a good sense of who they are and what images may suit them, if that makes sense! Also it's just more helpful for me to travel to Mum after they have spent a good deal of time pushing out their little humans!
So the time had come, off I went to photograph the gorgeous Alexander & Sebastien...

Aren't they gorgeous?
Sometimes at a newborn session baby takes a while to settle, it's completely normal. If you had only been in the world for a few days you would also feel a little out of sorts. I was a little nervous as now I had two babies to photograph, I needn't have worried as they slept like a dream for me! In terms of a newborn photo session we got it all done within a couple of hours...AMAZING! They were wonderfully relaxed and Dad James already had a good idea when they would wake for a feed and he was pretty much right on the money time wise.
It was wonderful to capture them, my job is not bad at all I have to say!
